South African karters impressed in the Rok International Finals in Italy over the weekend. Jozi lad Kwanda Mokoena and Cape Town’s recently crowned Junior Max champion Charl Visser starred, both winning heats en route to the Junior Rok final where they ended up 10th and 11th, while Cape lad Tate brought it home 14th and Jozi lads Daniele Patrizi finished 18th, Saood Variyawa 26th, but Leyton Fourie Retired. Luca Munaretto, who has race in Italy of late, ended 14th in Shifter Rok while SA krting lady Fabienne Lanz brought it home 18th and Mozambican lass Naomi Pitzer ended up 19th in Super Rok after both her brother Karl Pitzer and Dino Stermin retired. Vereeniging lad Nikolas Roos made the highly competitive Mini Rok final but retired.
