New Go

Datsun promises more state of the art

Datsun’s Go is a bit of an enigma. Slated by a motoring press that likes to beat its technical chest because it lacks such niceties as ABS and enough airbags, the market thinks otherwise and in spite of its foibles, this bargain entry solution sells like hotcakes, no matter how grizzly a picture many scribes like to paint. Now things may change - besides promising several 'state-of-the-art features’, Datsun is not saying much besides that a new Go is imminent - it is keeping its cards close to its chest on what, exactly will all be new, but we suspect that many of the wrongs many considered the original may have, will be righted second time around. “We're focused on giving our customers the best service while providing high-quality cars to serve everyone's needs,” Nissan SA suit Kabelo Rabotho promised. “The Datsun Go has become a firm favourite in South Africa in a short space of time and these stylish new models are sure to be just as popular." More details on new Go pricing and spec will be confirmed soon.
