Hot new RCF chases M4, AMG C63 & RS5

Lexus’ refreshed Lexus RC range is now in South Africa. Well, it’s a bit more than just refreshed thanks to some pretty wild updates from a domed hood to a deeper grille, unique fascias, flared fenders and probably more than enough cooling ducts, while suspension is now tweaked to get the best out of those 19-inch wheels.

Under the hood there's a slightly more powerful 350kW 5-litre V8 mated to an eight-speed paddle shifter automatic, while a diet should see a tenth of a second shaved off its 0-100km/h dash. But that's not all — Lexus has also unleashed the extremely limited and even lighter Track Edition with a 4-second 0-100 and even wilder styling.

While focused on speed, RC F still cossets its occupants in a premium leather, tech and convenience rich cockpit armed with cool, reconfigurable digital instruments, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa integrated infotainment and on-board Wi-Fi. Add a host of driver-assistance from automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlamps, and adaptive cruise control.

RC F starts at R1.3-million with the track pack coming in just under R2-million with both models available for order at Lexus dealerships countrywide.
