AMG makes the ultimate GT

Mercedes-AMG's GT R Pro is inspired by the brand’s GT3 and GT4 racers and benefits a motorsport-inspired suspension set-up, improved aerodynamics and racy visual additions. GT’s coil-over suspension is modified to allow mechanical compression, spring preload and damper rebound adjustment with a click of the damper’s adjustment dial. The front axle also gains an adjustable carbonfibre torsion bar, while the upper wishbones now also use Uniball spherical bearings to reduce play and improving wear resistance. A Track Package adds a steel roll cage, four-point harnesses for both front seats, and a fire extinguisher, while aerodynamic improvements include an extended front splitter with carbon fibre ‘flics’, new front wing louvres that reduce front axle lift, and a new rear spoiler with milled aluminium brackets and a lip that increases rear axle downforce. Carbon is also used in the GT R Pro’s roof and side sill strips.
