A new six-pot Ingenium petrol for the Sport
Range Rover has slotted a new straight-six mild hybrid Ingenium petrol engine into the Discovery Sport line-up. The special edition Sport HST uses a 295kW and 550Nm in-line six replaces the previous V6 petrol. Performance and greater refinement, fuel economy and emissions are all improved. An electric twin-scroll supercharger spooling to 120 000rpm in half-a-second virtually eliminates turbo-lag. It’s the first Jaguar Land Rover production model with a mild-hybrid system.
