Meet the 300mph Koenigsegg

This is the new Koenigsegg Jesko. Named after Christian Von Koenigsegg’s father, who backed his son to start building cars, Jesko makes 1175kW and 1500Nm, produces 1000kg of downforce, will top 300 miles per hour(485km/h) and comes in the choice of Track or High Downforce configurations. Just 125 Jeskos will be built at around R40-million before duties and taxes. Powered by a tweaked Koenigsegg biturbo V8 with a forged crankshaft and an all-new air injection system to reduce turbo lag, it makes under 1000kW on 95-octane petrol with full power available on E85 methanol as it aims to break the fastest road-legal car in the world record set by a Koenigsegg Agera two years ago.
