Stealth kit pretties up Nissan’s top bakkie

Whenever a carmaker brings something special to the market, rest assured that among its rivals will be right there running interference with a product to try counter it…

Not that the Nissan Navara Stealth is in any way a threat to the other bakkie launched this week, nor will it ever rewrite history, but it’s a pretty good deal in its own right and would probably have far better benefited being released on its own a few weeks ago, or in a few weeks time…

Anyway, the Stealth kit is not much more than a bit of Navara lipstick & mascara that adds black alloy wheels, a roll-bar and side steps to an already compelling rugged Navara stock spec with some black trim and orange accents too, while that two-tone effect stretches into the cabin, where the seats gain black leather bolsters with contrasting orange inserts and stitching.

That’s over and above the expected downsize efficient stock 140kW 450Nm Navara biturbo package in 6-speed manual rear or 4-wheel drive with the additional option of a 7-speed automatic and that 5-link coil sprung rear suspension.

Add an array of Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies from Key and Hill Start to four-camera 360-degree Around View and more, while Navara Stealth comes with a comprehensive Nissan Assured 3-year 90,000km service plan and class-leading 6-year 150,000km warranty.
