Hyundai Tucson Sport

Power & aggro for Tucson

Hyundai has added another Sport package to theĀ  facelifted Tucson range in South Africa, but this time the package goes beyond just aesthetics to deliver a handy boost in power and toque through some black box wizardry, along with an aural enhancement thanks to a new exhaust system too.

Offering a similar looks get-up to the popular previous 2017 Tucson Sport in 2017 through bespoke black alloys and an aggressive body kit, the new Sport comes in the choice of a turbo petrol 1.6-litre with a 7-speed Dual Clutch or a turbodiesel 2-litre turning an 8-speed automatic transmission, both driving the front wheels.

Both engines have been tweaked to see the 150kW 300Nm petrol version up from 130kW and 265Nm, while the 2-litre turbodiesel also delivers 150kW and a handy 460Nm, up from 131kW and 400Nm. Both cars retain all the standard specification offered by Huyndai as well as their regular 7-year/200 000 km warranty, 7 years or 150 000km Roadside assistance and 5 year/90 000 km service plan with a 5 000km initial service and at 15 000km intervals thereafter.
